The Digital and Agile for Local Government course

Join DLUHC for an exclusive training opportunity for local government officers in late 2022. 

The Digital and Agile for Local Government course is designed to equip local government officers with a deeper understanding of agile and digital, and how to use them effectively in digital delivery.

This two-day online course, offered at no cost, will consist of live presentations, interactive sessions and exercises from an experienced NobleProg Agile/DevOps trainer.

This course is open to all local government officers in England.

Day 1

  • what is digital
  • experience sharing (retrospection)
  • agile in government, history and principles
  • value delivery via agile
  • user centred design to focus on user needs

Day 2

  • the Scrum framework
  • the lean-agile Kanban method
  • backlogs, user stories, estimating and focusing on value
  • agile teams, product ownership and servant leadership
  • governance and measuring progress
  • tools for successful delivery

    The dates currently available are:

    • Wednesday 23 to Thursday 24 November 2022
    • Monday 12 to Tuesday 13 December 2022

    Each course will run for 14 hours (2 days for 7 hours, including breaks).

    Further dates are planned for 2023.

    How to apply for the course

    Please complete the Expression of Interest form by Wednesday 2 November 2022 if you would like to attend this training course. Further dates are planned for 2023 so please also complete the form if you would like to be considered for these.

    Spaces are limited to 12 people per course and places will be randomly allocated after Wednesday 2 November.
