As a shared Building Control service we need to be able to book appointments for our surveyors across a wide geographical area. There are many apps available that schedule meetings in a diary and would connect to the software we use which is Salesforce but these do not appear to focus on the application record.

We are interested in connecting with authorities who have worked on the principle of creating a diary appointment that will also be used as an inspection record and exists within the application and that also pins the location of the appointment to a map. We believe that by creating inspection records like this we are able to increase efficiency by speeding up the process of recording appointments and notes of visits within the same object and by using a map we are able to ensure surveyors are deployed efficiently and are not crossing each other thus reducing mileage costs.

We believe a diary system such as this could be used across other departments where officers spend a considerable amount of their days on site visits.
