Sheffield City Council
We want to explore, test and develop data and digital tools which will help connect, improve, promote, and manage Green Open Space (GOS) in the city and beyond. The project will focus on designing a flexible tool for the citizens of Sheffield to further engage with and benefit from our cities priceless GOS along with the events, activities, and services which are delivered in them. In particular, we want to focus on tackling city wide inequalities around Health & Wellbeing, GOS Quality, and Citizen Engagement.
We will undertake research to better understand how citizens use our GOS, how digital tools could help encourage their use and improve their experiences, and importantly how digital can help enable the continuous improvement and efficiency of our service delivery.
The project will be developed and delivered with already committed citywide partners such as the Universities, MoveMore, Public Health, National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine, User Groups and the Voluntary & Third Sector Organisations – they have the experience and knowledge to design a service that meets the needs of our citizens.
We intend the tool will to be scalable by design, open to all, and able to be built on and improved over time.
