This discovery project, led by Hackney London Borough Council, explored how current housing technology products and procurement processes are stifling innovation and reducing flexibility to policy changes, ultimately preventing improved service delivery for residents.

Through technology assessment and cross-council user research, the project team identified opportunities to help local authorities improve how they work with tech providers, increasing interoperability and choice, within an environment of reduced local government funding.
