Three Rivers District Council

Outcome of Expression of Interest: Not shortlisted

Currently residents have various different sources to report environmental issues and obtain information on services like fly tipping, full litter bins, dog bins and collection days but no single application currently allows this all to be done from one place. This creates a problem for councils in the way reports are received as they don’t integrate into the CRM systems also the same issue is reported a number of times via different platforms tying up resources, increasing cost to council. Residents are becoming increasingly frustrated by the number of different apps they have to use to report/ find out information from their local council and as a result are less likely to report incidents. Through the project we are looking to investigate the possibility of developing an all-encompassing environment app that allows residents to report incidents and provides them with information on bin collections and recycling, contamination in recycling is becoming a major issue. Educating citizens is the key to reducing contamination

The key to the project is this would all be integrated into the CRM systems via API’s

The project will identify indicative efficiency savings to the public sector from this process and indicative time-saving benefits to a resident.

Other training requests

Social media training would also be an advantage to help with pushing the application out to users once built.
