Rutland County Council

Outcome of Expression of Interest: Not shortlisted

At Rutland County Council, providing customised content to individuals is important to our digital transformation and customer engagement.  The challenge in delivering this is two fold, one knowing what are the demographics of the location or person and then the customized content.

As an easy example where we know the geolocation of a property we could know what Ward that the property is in and therefore provide a direct link to their Councillor.

However this discovery project would look to go much further than that and identify other sources of information and AI that could be used to identify further specific content.    So at a more advanced level when we can match low-level crime via Open APIs to a specific street and we have other Council information that provides evidence of vulnerable adults (e.g. single occupancy, data in adult services applications) we could provide specific information on securing a property or raising awareness of grants.

The scope of this discovery is therefore to identify sources of information either specific or generalized that can be applied at a property or individual level that could be used to help improve customer’s access to information that they need.
