Every month Trouble Families have to submit their target numbers for families in need in the borough in order to receive the required funds and this is has always been a pain point due to the complexity in pulling the data from different databases and once completed analyst have to shift through tons of line in order to identify families in need. It takes a large amount of resources both from ICT and the service area every month in order to produce the desired and most accurate information. We are not the only council.
The council like many others has large amount of data which can be used more efficiently and can help us towards becoming more pro-active rather than reactive.
I would like to understand how the council can implement a robust solution to create a golden record, better manage its data and interrogate through the use of Predictive Analytics and Artificial Intelligence. This could revolutionize the way both staff and citizens can access trusted and accurate information. Centrally held data will provide better flexibility to the council. We have not done anything like this before but would imagine a discovery stage will probably cost anything up to £150k.
