In order to improve services to Landlords, Harrow Council developed a bespoke, authenticated portal to display all HB payments made by tenants.
The portal, which was accessed over 25,000 times over the last year, enabled Landlords to check progress and payments without referring to paper copies or telephone the Council. This reduced costs by over £50,000 through reduction in staff resources, stationery and postage.
If successful with this discovery bid, Harrow Council will investigate how a bespoke portal for Planning agents could be created to allow them to submit and view progress of applications through a central access point.
