Southampton City Council piloted a consultation delivered via a digital platform with Bang the Table, using a range of tools such as polls, surveys, interactive maps, ideas boards and sentiment/comment collection.
The objective was to test a wide range of digital tools in order to assess which ones residents were most engaged with. The results informed the approach to the statutory Regulation 18 consultation in Summer/Autumn 2022.
The pilot focused on improving participation levels with the following groups in particular: children and young people and people from black and minority ethnic groups.
